Ida Posner

Vice President-Strategic Planning

Ida supports RDC’s portfolio of businesses in the USA, Europe, and Latin America and serves as a Director of the Iowa Interstate Railroad, RDC-Deutschland, and RégioRail. She leads strategic planning and other initiatives in the fields of infrastructure and agriculture for both RDC and The Hawthorne Group, the parent company of RDC.

In addition to her role at RDC, Ida is a Strategic Advisor to the Posner Foundation of Pittsburgh where she leads the foundation’s growing portfolio of investments in food waste solutions. She is passionate about food systems and transportation, and the intersection of the two. 

Ida is a board member of American Jewish World Service, a global nonprofit working to end poverty and promote human rights.

Previously, Ida was a Program Associate at the Pisces Foundation where she supported program strategy and grants management for foundation's $15 million grantmaking portfolio. Before the Pisces Foundation, she worked in Kenya developing renewable energy microgrid systems at SteamaCo (formerly access:energy), a startup renewable energy and technology company based in Kisumu.

Ida holds a BSE from Princeton University and an MBA from Columbia Business School and remains active with both, serving on the Princeton CEE Advisory Council and the Deming Center Advisory Board.
